I agree with this entirely — which is one of hte big reasons I’m striving to change myself as an artist and as a person. Not because I don’t want to conform, or don’t want people to dislike me — I’m changing so I can feel I have a bit more originality in my work, and because I want to get more realism into my life.

As fun as Anime is to draw with the expressions being so versatile and flexible, and the hair colors being outrageous and crazy — a cartoon style of my own would make me feel like a rad kind of person. Like I did with my pony work — I’ve made a style all my own for that fandom, and it’s just inspired me to do all sorts of things ince then.
